New Delhi: Research and investigations are on after corona's new variant Omichron was found in Africa. New things have been coming up day in and day out. Dr Suresh Kumar, Medical Director, Lok Nayak Hospital, Delhi, has made a new revelation about Omicron. He said 34 people infected with omicron have been treated at Loknayak Hospital. All but one person had been vaccinated against corona. 18 of those infected have been discharged. Dr Suresh further said that two of those patients had also taken MRNA booster shots to foreign people. While one of them had received a full dose of vaccine. Which means omicron is also capable of infecting individuals who have taken the vaccine.

According to a report received, out of these 34 patients infected with omicron, 5 were citizens of European and African countries, while 29 were Indians. Dr Suresh explained about the patients who had mild symptoms of sore throat and pain in the body after confirming omicron infection. None of these patients required oxygen or ventilator.

He further said that they are possible due to mild symptoms, the vaccine doses taken at their door. If it expands community, serious symptoms can be observed in individuals who have not taken the vaccine. Recently, the number of omicron patients in Delhi has increased to 57. On Wednesday, 125 corona positive patients were found from all over Delhi. King's College, London, and Joey, a health science company, studied the symptoms of omicron, which reported last week that the top 5 symptoms of omicron include nasal loss, headache, fatigue, sneezing, and sore throat.
