 On Sunday, Sushma Swaraj, the External Affairs Minister (EAM) visited the memorial of former prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri in Tashkent and paid tribute to him.
She offered a floral wreath to the Former PM Shastriji.

Reporting about the incident, The spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs, Raveesh Kumar tweeted, "EAM @SushmaSwaraj paying floral tribute to freedom fighter and 2nd Prime Minister of India Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri at his memorial in Tashkent."
Previously, Sushma had cut the ribbons of a mango festival which was hosted by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. It was attended by mango exporters in Tashkent.
On Twitter, Raveesh Kumar wrote, "Promoting Indian mangoes in Uzbekistan! EAM @SushmaSwaraj inaugurated a Mango Festival organized by the Government of Uttar Pradesh with the participation of mango exporters in Tashkent. The exporters will visit fruit markets and meet fruit traders."

She talked about the relationship that the Indians share with the citizens of Uzbekistan. The relationship was built on the basis of their cultures.
Adding more to the relationship between the citizens, Swaraj asserted, "The love for our language Hindi and classical dances like Kathak and Bharatnatyam in Russia, Uzbekistan, and other neighboring countries is very much visible."
