First the husband was arrested by the police and after that two betel nut killers were also nabbed. It has come to know that the husband got his wife murdered by getting money, because he suspected that his wife was having an illicit relationship. A similar complaint was made against a youth named Masu Sheikh.

Meanwhile, two bike-borne youths opened fire on the housewife. Police told that the woman died on the way to the hospital. Malda district police started investigation. On investigation, the woman's husband named Masu Sheikh and two youths of the area, Ajit and Hazrat Singh, have been arrested.
