You must remember the most popular television show ,Srikrishna'. You will also remember Swapnil Joshi who played the role of Krishna in this popular show on Doordarshan in 1993. He is said to have become so popular with the character that people started worshipping him as the real God. Swapnil is celebrating his birthday today and has not been in the public eye for a long time.

Born in Mumbai, Swapnil completed his school study from BJPC Institution and Junior College, Charni Road, Mumbai. Thereafter, he graduated in Commerce from The University of Mumbai. You will be surprised to know that Swapnil also has a law degree and is also an advocate. Swapnil appeared in the popular serial 'Love Kush' made by Ramanand Sagar in 1986 before playing the popular role Krishna. Swapnil was only 9 years old when he was doing these roles.

Swapnil was just 13 when the same Ramanand Sagar made the popular show 'Srikrishna' on screen. Seeing his innocent face, Ramanand chose him for the character. He played this role with great ease for nearly 3 years. During one of his interviews, Swapnil had said that wherever he left, people fell at his feet and sought his blessings. Day after day, his relatives would bring a sick person to his house so that Swapnil could fix him. When Swapnil was invited as the chief guest at an event, he was surrounded by a crowd and people touched his feet and started worshipping him.
