In the latest episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Taarak and Jethalal go to a jeweller house to buy gold ornaments for Anjali. Taarak and Jethalal discuss how women love gold. Taarak wants to buy ring and earrings for Anjali but Jethalal suggests him to buy a gold chain for Anjali. Taarak says he will also buy pendant along with the gold chain. Just then Taarak gets a call from Anjali and gets romantic with him. Taarak wants to give her a surprise gift so tells her he is on his way home and he tells her he is getting a nice return gift for her. Taarak buys a gift for Anjali and writes a sweet note for his wife. As they are walking out of the shop their gift is stolen by a thief.

They keep running after him but he escapes. They wonder what will happen now. Taarak and Jethalal get angry and he decides to lodge a complaint with the police station.Jethalal says there is no point in filing an FIR and Taarak gets upset. He says they will have to lodge a complaint.
Inspector Challu Pandey is talking to his wife over the phone and how she gets angry. Taarak and Jethalal reach police station to file a complaint about their stolen gold chain. Challu Pandey wonders how his wife's gold chain has been stolen but Taarak is actually talking about the gold chain he had bought. Chalu says he will arrest them since they have stolen their wife's gold chain. They wonder why are they being arrested for the theft of their own chain. He doesn't listen to them at all.They then explain to him how their new gold chain was stolen from their hand. Chalu Pandey apologises to them and then lodges the complaint. Taarak says they can never recognise the thief as he was wearing a mask. Chalu says it will be difficult to recognise the thief now.
