A Pakistani terrorist died of cardiac arrest at an army hospital in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Saturday, police said. It is being told that a week ago this Pakistani terrorist was arrested during an infiltration attempt. Tabarak Hussain (32), a resident of Sabzkot village in Kotli in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), was arrested on August 21 while trying to infiltrate from across the border for the second time in the last six years. It came to India on a Suicide mission.

Hussain, a trained guide of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and an agent of the Pakistan Army, was reportedly critically injured after he was shot at by Indian soldiers during an infiltration bid. Hussain was later shifted to the military hospital, where he underwent surgery during which soldiers donated three units of blood to save his life. However, he has died.

In this case, an army officer said, "He died of a heart attack late Saturday evening." It is being told that the body will be handed over to the police for legal formalities on Sunday. On 24 August, the Army's 80 Infantry Brigade commander, Brigadier Kapil Rana, said that Hussain, along with two others, had confessed to his plan to attack an Indian Army post, who fled after being stopped on the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera sector.
