Afghanistan: According to reports, Taliban security forces assassinated a young physician in Afghanistan's western Herat region on Thursday, as per Afgan sources.
According to the victim's family members, Amruddin Noori, a 33-year-old physician in Herat city, was slain by Taliban security men when he failed to stop at a police security post in Herat. Local says, Noori, who used to own a small private medical clinic, had recently married, according to the source.
The security authorities in Herat have denied that the deceased was killed by Taliban members, claiming that no such incidence has been reported to them. Recent studies show an increase in the rate of crime in Afghanistan; however, due to a lack of information, the majority of such instances are not publicised by the media.
