India's star young badminton player Tasneem Mir has also won the title of Iran Fajr International Challenge. The world number one junior shuttler also won the women's singles title by defeating Yulia Yosefine Susanto of Indonesia in three games in the title match here on Friday.

World number one junior Indian badminton player Tasnim Mir also clinched the women's singles title with a three-game win over Indonesia's Yulia Yosefin Susanto in the final at the Iran Fajr International Challenge here on Friday.

The 16-year-old from Gujarat defeated second-ranked Susanto 21-11, 11-21, 21-7 in 51 minutes. Prior to which Tasnim had defeated Iran's Nazneen Zamani, Armenia's Lilit Poghoyan, Iran's Fatameh Babai, India's Samaira Panwar. In the semi-finals, Tasnim had defeated top ranked and world number 71 Martina Repiska. Tasneem, the first Indian woman badminton player to become the world number one in Under-19 singles, has a senior world ranking of 404.
