New Delhi: The Tata Group is preparing for another major flight in civil and military aviation. The Tata Group, which is preparing to make transport aircraft in Gujarat in collaboration with Airbus, now plans to manufacture modern helicopters in the country. The company is in discussions with defence sector giant Lockheed Martin in this regard. If all goes according to plan, the Sikorsky S-76 aircraft will be manufactured in India. 

Recently, TATA signed an agreement with Airbus to manufacture 40 C-295 aircraft in the country. These aircraft will be manufactured in Gujarat. Lockheed Martin and the Tata Group have already signed contracts to manufacture parts of the wings and C-130 aircraft of the F-16 aircraft. According to initial reports, there will be many opportunities for small domestic companies for the Sikorsky S76.

According to the report, this deal will give a big push to the government's plan to become self-reliant in the Make in India and defence sectors. This is Sikorsky's first helicopter to make helicopters for the Army, which is useful for both defence and civil sectors and is considered very reliable all over the world. At present, this helicopter is in great demand for the shipping industry and VIP movement. At the same time, the armies of Britain, Japan, Spain and Saudi Arabia use it.
