Tata Motors, India's largest automaker, unveiled an electric version of its popular Ace compact truck on Thursday, continuing its push to electrify its entire portfolio.

Amazon, BigBasket, City Link, DOT, Flipkart, LetsTransport, MoEVing, and Yelo EV have all inked agreements to provide the Ace EV, and the business has already received orders for 39,000 units. The company will also attempt to develop platforms in the e-cargo industry in order to provide solutions that meet market needs.

Sustainable transportation is a need as well as an irreversible trend, according to Tata Group Chairman N Chandrasekaran, who spoke during the presentation of the Ace EV here. "At the Tata Group, and particularly at Tata Motors, we have completely embraced this and created a business strategy that includes sustainability as a major component." We are committed to making this shift, whether it is in passenger cars, commercial vehicles, or Jaguar Land Rover in general, and we are speeding it every day," he said.

"We already have released numerous models in the automobile category and are leading this movement in the passenger cars," Chandrasekaran added, claiming that Tata Motors has achieved considerable progress in its electrification journey.

"We have successfully launched electric buses in the commercial vehicle category, and we are seeing enormous acceptance and uptake in that segment." Today is the first day of our transition to e-cargo mobility..." "By introducing the Ace EV, we are renewing our commitment to bring the benefits of electrification to all these entrepreneurs across the country," Chandrasekaran said, emphasising that the Ace mini truck has been a forerunner, a category creator, and a "beacon of hope for many entrepreneurs and millions across India."
