New Delhi: The compact SUV segment in the country has become extremely popular in the recent past. Especially in India, the sub 4 meter (less than 4 meter long) SUV is liked by the people. In this segment, now many big brands are offering their products in the country and this segment product portfolio is going to grow in the coming days. In such a situation, Tata Nexon made a huge jump in its sales figures to register a huge growth of 127 percent and made it to the top 3 of the segment.
Hyundai Venue remains the highest selling car in this segment. The car has sold 8, 276 units in August. The car sold 9,234 units in August last year. Brezza, Maruti's best seller car, was second on the list. The car sold 6,903 units in August 2020. Earlier, in August last year, the car had sold 7,109 units. Tata's Nexon registered a tremendous growth of 127 per cent. The car sold 5,179 units this month. At the same time in August 2019, only 2,275 units of this car were sold.
The XUV 300, EcoSport and WRV also made it to the top compact SUV's list. Of these, only the XUV 300 registered 18 percent growth. The sales of both the remaining cars have been falling.
