Team from SRM university topped the 'iTech 2016'

New Delhi, Students from SRM University won ITC's major flagship 'iTech 2016' competition, that was held on July 16 and July 17 at the company's Bangalore campus.

Anshuman Pandey, Aditthya Ramakrishnan, Rohan Pooniwala and Raghav Gupta, the students from SRM University's Kattankulathur campus topped the competition seizing a prize money of Rs 3 lakhs.

'NOMI', a short form for 'Know Me!', i.e. a mixed reality smartphone app created by team from SRM University.

Anshuman Pandey of the winning team said, "We took the use case of a consumer who is unaware about the effects of a product on his or her health and developed an app that could provide them with all the information they need related to it."

Ms Sushma Rajagopalan, MD and CEO of ITC Infotech, said, "The students created a history of sorts. It's the first time a student team has won the prestigious hackathon beating professional teams from across the country".
