New Delhi: Pramod Kumar Chawla, father of Team India spinner Piyush Chawla, has passed away. Pramod Kumar Chawla was suffering from corona virus. Pramod Kumar Chawla, who is suffering from corona infection, died at Max Hospital in Delhi. Son Piyush Chawla has reported his father's death through social media.

Cricketer Piyush Chawla posted on social media site Instagram and wrote, "With deep sorrow, my dear father has passed away. He was battling the corona virus. We need your prayers in times of grief. May God give peace to his soul". Cricketer Piyush Chawla has given an emotional caption with his post. Cricketer Piyush Chawla has written that life will no longer be the same without Father. 'Today I have lost my pillar of power'.

After the death of Pramod Kumar Chawla his neighbour Anil Kumar said Piyush's father Pramod Chawla was a very simple person. His son Piyush is an international player, yet there was no change in him.
