Constable Tej Bahadur Yadav sent a plea for retirement, which was cancelled by the BSF (Border Security Board). Tej was in news when he revealed about the 'poor quality food' provided to the Jawans.

On the cancellation of the retirement plea, Bahadur's wife alleges that BSF trapped her husband and trying to torture him mentally. While BSF said that "Yadav’s plea has been cancelled pending the Court of Inquiry (CoI) and finalisation of its recommendations."

BSF officials denied the allegations made by Tej's wife, reason revealed behind his arrest was stated to be, "Cancellation of VRS was communicated to constable Yadav on January 30 evening only."
