New Delhi: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced that Ahmedabad-Mumbai and Lucknow-New Delhi Tejas Express trains will be resumed from Saturday. According to IRCTC, train number 82901/82902 Ahmedabad-Mumbai-Ahmedabad and train number 82501/82502 Lucknow-New Delhi-Lucknow will run four days a week on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Passengers can book tickets on the IRCTC's website http://irctc.co.in or the IRCTC Rail Connect app.
In fact, the Railways had stopped the operation of Tejas Express amidst the second wave of corona epidemic in the country. State that the New Delhi-Lucknow Tejas Express was launched in October 2019. This is the first train to run entirely by IRCTC. The journey on this train takes more than six hours to complete the journey in each direction. Tejas train provides free rail travel insurance of Rs 25 lakh as well as various modern facilities to passengers.
The Ahmedabad-Mumbai route was launched in January 2020. It has two executive class chair cars, each with 56 seats as well as eight chair cars, each with a capacity of 78 seats. Passengers are given high-quality food and beverages, which are included in ticket fares. Each compartment of this train has an RO water filter in addition to the water bottle. Passengers of this train are also provided rail travel insurance up to Rs 25 lakh.
