In terms of liquid assets, Nitish Kumar holds Rs 22,552 in cash, which reflects a decrease from the previous year's Rs 28,135. Additionally, he has deposits totaling Rs 49,202 across various bank accounts.
In comparison, the cumulative assets of Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav and his brother Tej Pratap Yadav amount to approximately Rs 7.68 crore, a figure six times greater than Nitish Kumar's declaration. Tejashwi Yadav's movable assets stand at Rs 1.11 crore, coupled with immovable assets valued at Rs 3 crore. He reported a total income of Rs 4,74,370, along with Rs 50,000 in hand. Tej Pratap Yadav, a minister in the Bihar government, disclosed movable assets totaling Rs 1.79 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 1.78 crore. His cash holdings amount to Rs 98,572, and he has deposited around Rs 17 lakh across multiple banks. Notably, Tej Pratap Yadav also owns a motorcycle valued at Rs 29 lakh and a BMW worth Rs 22 lakh.
This financial disclosure initiative aligns with the Bihar government's directive requiring all cabinet ministers to reveal their assets and liabilities annually, with the information made publicly available.
