Gopalganj: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is targeting Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav for wearing slippers at the Thawe temple in Gopalganj. Bihar BJP spokesperson Nikhil Anand has questioned whether the deputy CM of the state has any protocol or any privilege that he can go to the temple wearing slippers. Politics is now intensifying on this matter. ┬а

In the video posted on Twitter, Tejashwi is seen walking into the temple premises wearing slippers while officers and police personnel guarding him are seen barefoot. Bihar BJP spokesperson Nikhil Anand attacked Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav on the matter. He wrote in a tweet "When the security personnel and other colleagues were in the temple premises with empty feet, what was Tejashwi's intention to take the special facility of wearing slippers?''

The Bharatiya Janata Party questioned Tejashwi's secularism and asked if Tejashwi talks about becoming secular like this. Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday offered prayers at Thawe Mata temple in Gopalganj. Politics has intensified over wearing slippers on the temple premises. In the video posted, Tejashwi is seen wearing slippers while others and security personnel are seen barefoot.
