HYDERABAD: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) stated on Saturday that while Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have split geographically, the two states' personal affection remains the same.

Rama Rao, who is also the minister for industry, information technology, municipal administration, and urban development in Andhra Pradesh, tweeted on Saturday, a day after attending the wedding of Botcha Satyanarayana, the state's minister for municipal administration and urban development.

Rao remarked that he was overwhelmed by the love he received from his Andhra Pradesh brethren.  KTR, the son of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, tweeted, "While we may have been separated as two separate geographical entities; Telangana & Andhra Pradesh, personal emotions remain the same."

KTR also shared a video in which he is seen meeting Satyanarayana and other Andhra Pradesh ministers, as well as representatives of the state's ruling YSR Congress Party, the Congress, and the BJP.  The TRS leader's tweet comes in the midst of a controversy over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent comments in Parliament over the way Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated.
