Hyderabad: After the arrival of 3,052 new cases of coronavirus infection in Telangana, the total number of people infected so far has crossed 3.32 lakh and the death toll has increased to 1,772 with the death of seven more. According to the information provided by the state government in the health bulletin released on Tuesday till 8 pm on April 12, the maximum number of 406 new cases were found in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). After this, 301 new cases were registered in Medchal Malkajgiri and 279 in Nizamabad.

The total cases of infection have gone up to 3,32,581, while the total number of patients recovering after recovery of 778 more patients is 3,06,678. Currently, 24,131 people are being treated in the state and more than 1.13 lakh samples have been tested on Monday. So far, a total of more than 11.1 million samples have been tested. According to the Health Bulletin, more than three lakh samples have been tested per 10 lakh population.

The state has an infection mortality rate of 0.53 percent, while at the national level the rate is 1.3 percent. The rate of recovery of people in Telangana is 92.21 percent whereas in the country the rate is 89.5 percent. According to another release issued by the state government, till April 12, more than 19.79 lakh people were given the first dose of corona vaccine, while more than 3.09 lakh people were given the second dose of the vaccine.
