Bangalore: Amidst growing cases of corona, Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa had said on Monday that a lockdown could be imposed in the state if required. However, reversing this statement, now CM Yediyurappa has said that there is no question of implementing lockdown in the state. CM Yediyurappa said that he has convened an all-party meeting on 18 April to discuss the situation in Corona.

CM Yediyurappa further said, 'Now there is no question of putting a lockdown. The Advisory Committee has said that by 2 May the number of infected will increase, so people should follow the Corona guideline'. On Monday, Yediyurappa had said that the state government is ready to impose a lockdown if the need arises. He said that if people did not cooperate and did not follow the rules, strict decisions would have to be taken. This statement by CM Yediyurappa was also important because recently PM Modi had asked to focus on measures like small containment zone, testing instead of lockdown to control corona infection.

Let us know that more than 10 thousand corona patients have been found in Karnataka on Sunday. Regarding the increase in Corona cases, CM Yediyurappa said that PM Modi has also talked about the steps being taken by the government.
