Hyderabad: Telangana High Court has issued a directive after a petition related to Coronavirus management in the state. It has issued instructions to senior officials on July 28, including the chief secretary, to appear before it. Apart from the Chief Secretary, this directive is for Principal Secretary of Health, Director of Public Health, Family Welfare, Director of Medical Education, and Commissioner of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. All of them have been asked to appear before the Telangana HC on July 28.

Recently, while talking about this, the counsel for the petitioners, Chikkudu Prabhakar, made his point. He said, "The High Court bench comprising the Chief Justice has heard the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) of the Telangana Democratic Forum, which has been filed in detail by Professor PL Vishveshwara Rao and Dr. Cheruku Sudhakar. But I was brought to the notice of the court that COVID-19 patients are losing their lives in the state due to non-availability of oxygen in Nizamabad, Nalgonda, and Warangal. "

Prabhakar talked more. In his conversation, he said, 'He had raised the issue of Osmania General Hospital in Hyderabad, whose wards were filled with rain and drain water, and also asked him to conduct rapid antigen testing in the state using 2,00,000 kits. The court has given a new instruction to the government. In this directive, it has been asked to ensure the availability of oxygen cylinders in all the notified COVID-19 hospitals in the state and submit the report to the court. Apart from this, it has also been instructed that wherever necessary people should get rapid antigen testing done. Simultaneously, the court also questioned that "why should not higher officials in the state be suspended for not following their earlier orders relating to COVID-19 management...?"
