In Telangana, the DATE of MLC election has been announced and now it is going to be on October 9, 2020. In view of election and security, the Election Commission of India has issued orders that the collector has the power to declare a holiday on election day. In this opinion, the Telangana government has authorised the District Collectors and District Judges of Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Rajanna Sirsilla and Saipur districts to declare local leave on the day of mlc election.

It should be noted that this sholiday is not considered as a gazetted holiday as only polling stations are considered to allow holidays as per this order. On Monday, Chief Electoral Officer Shashank Goel said in his orderthat the collectors can declare a holiday for the institutions with offices and polling stations on October 12, 2020, one day before the poll and on the counting day, i.e. October 12, 2020. By-election was set up.

However, it should be noted that all political parties are already ready for this election and are preparing lists of contestants. The parties are trying to get maximum support by encouraging their work and cooperation with the public wallfare. Many political parties have already released their winning booklets to win the elections.
