Hyderabad: A painful accident took place at Suryapet in Telangana. Here a truck and tractor collided with each other on the national highway of Munagla. 5 people lost their lives in the accident. At the same time, more than 20 people are said to be injured. The incident took place on the National Highway in Munagala Mandal on Sunday morning. According to the local people, all the victims of the accident were relatives. All were returning home after attending prayers at the Ayyappa Swamy temple on the outskirts of Munagala.

According to the report, around 30 people were returning home in a tractor trolley from the temple of Lord Ayyappa. The tractor on which the devotees were travelling had gone on the wrong track on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway. During this, the tractor coming from Hyderabad and going towards Vijayawada rammed into the truck at a high speed. A lorry coming at high speed was going from Hyderabad to Vijayawada, during which it collided with a tractor. As a result, all the people riding the tractor got out of the vehicle and fell on the road. It is being told that the truck had also dragged the tractor a few meters away.

After getting the information, the police and the local people reached the spot and started the rescue work. The injured were taken to the nearest hospital for treatment. The dead include Theneru Pramila (35), Chintakayala Pramila (33), Uday Lokesh (8), Nargoni Kotaiah (55) and Gundu Jyoti (38).
