Jaipur: In Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, the atmosphere has become tense after the only son of a former councilor was murdered with swords and rods on Tuesday night. The agitated people closed the markets and demanded that the accused be arrested soon. Tension prevailed in the city since Wednesday morning and people of various organizations are sitting on dharna. A large number of police forces are deployed in the city. The situation has become tense due to the involvement of youth of a particular community among the accused.

Rakesh alias Ratan Singh, son of former councilor Jagdish Soni, living in Gandhinagar, was returning home after attending a program on Tuesday night, in the meantime, miscreants who came on a bike near the crematorium attacked him with swords and bars. In the injured condition, he was taken to the district hospital, where after first aid he was referred to Udaipur, but he died on the way. After this, people from Soni Samaj and Hindu organizations gathered at Subhash Chowk and started demanding arrest of the attackers.

It has been told that the police are interrogating some people by taking them into custody. The police is going to reveal the matter soon. But in view of the situation, a large number of police forces have been deployed including SSP Kailash Singh Sandu, DYSP Budhraj, Sub Inspector Gopalnath from Kotwali police station. Everyone has been continuously explained by the police till late night. MP CP Joshi and MLA Chandrabhan Singh Aakya also reached the spot. All together also went to meet the Superintendent of Police and also gave a report to the police station Kotwali. MP CP Joshi said that the situation in Rajasthan is constantly getting worse, there is no fear of the police among the criminals.
