Indore: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) team raided the premises of the radical Islamic organization Popular Front of India (PFI) in Indore and Ujjain, the financial capital of Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, the NIA has arrested three PFI leaders from Indore. Additional Commissioner of Police Rajesh Hingankar confirmed the action. The NIA team has been conducting raids on PFI bases across the country since Thursday morning.  

During this time, there is talk of getting literature including documents related to terror funding. The PFI has been said to be involved in the riots in Khargone. At the same time, on February 17, 2021, PFI used objectionable language in the meeting on its foundation day in Ujjain. Investigating agencies have raided the residences and offices of radical Islamic organization Popular Front of India i.e. PFI office bearers in about 10 states. At the same time, more than 100 cadres have been arrested during this period. It has been reported that after this action, party workers in Karnataka, Kerala have fiercely protested. The NIA has carried out searches at the residences and official premises of those involved in terror funding and organising training camps.

Quoting sources familiar with the case, it has also been reported that the investigating agencies have arrested more than 100 cadres in collaboration with the state police in about 10 states. In fact, the investigating agencies have raided the houses of state and district-level leaders of PFI. At the same time, this time the agencies have also clamped down on party chairman Salam Parad at Manjeri in Malappuram district. At the same time, the protest of party workers against the action against Salam continues.
