New Delhi: The news of sudden attacks by militants on security forces in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir is coming out. The incident took place in Sangam village under Marhama area where militants opened fire on a contingent of Army's 03 RR battalion. However, there is no report of any casualty in this firing.

According to the information received so far, the terrorists have already escaped by chance before retaliation. In such a situation, the security forces have cordoned off the entire area and started a search operation. According to the information received, the terrorists are reported to be hiding in the Sangam area. Earlier on Sunday, Border Security Force (BSF) personnel foiled an attempt by five heavily armed terrorists to infiltrate India through LoC in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir under the cover of Pakistan Rangers firing. An army spokesman said on Sunday that the five terrorists returned to the Pakistani border due to retaliation by BSF.
