Srinagar: A civilian was killed and 20 others were reported injured in a grenade attack on Monday afternoon in Srinagar district of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Suspected militants hurled grenades at security forces stationed at Hari Singh High Street at around 1.20 pm in Srinagar this afternoon, but the grenade exploded at a distance from the target, leaving at least 21 people injured.
The injured were rushed to the hospital where one person died. At the same time, the grenade attack created panic on the spot, taking advantage of which the suspected terrorists escaped from there. At the same time, security forces have cordoned off the entire area and conducted a search operation to catch the attackers. Let us tell you that this is the second grenade attack in 15 days. Earlier, intelligence agencies have issued alerts regarding terrorist attack on India.
Let us tell you that since the removal of Article 370 of the Constitution giving special status to Jammu and Kashmir, the terrorists have been very angry and are in the process of carrying out any major attack.
