According to media reports, in addition to Tamil and Hindi, this movie will also be made in Kannada, Murthy's mother tongue. Ashwin, who turned filmmaker from an advertising professional, said, 'When we talked to Murthy for this film, he wanted us to show his story in the right way. He wanted the film to end within a deadline. He did not want a project that never ends. The sooner his story comes out in front of the world, the better it will be."

Sudha Murthy said, "I watch films made on the lives and achievements of others very happily, like a film on MS Dhoni. I would feel ashamed to watch or talk about the film made on us. It is also true that we cannot run away from it and this is the reality of life. Sudha is the head of the Infosys Foundation and is also a philanthropist herself. Filmmakers are currently gathering information from family and friends, including their children." Ashwin started his innings in Bollywood in 2016 with the film 'Nil Batte Sannata'. His film Panga in which Kangana Ranaut is an actress is currently engaged in the theater. It depicts the story of a Kabaddi champion woman who returns to the playground after a few years of becoming a mother. Producers have named the film 'Murthy' for the time till the shooting. The crew or title is yet to be decided for the film.

We have many options to consider." Ashwin himself is a fan of Sudha Murthy. Films are not a new experience for Sudha Murthy. She has previously played cameo roles in Kannada films like Prarthane, Preeti Ellada Mele and Uppu Huli, Khara. However, this time she will be herself in the focus of the story. Sudha had pledged gold from which Narayan Murthy raised Rs 10,000. Infosys started in 1981 with 6 employees in Pune. After this, the office was shifted to Bangalore.
