Bhubaneswar: While the corona vaccine is eagerly awaited in the country, the panic of the new corona strain on the other side is also intact. The child who came to Odisha from the UK has been tested to be corona positive. Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) informed that it had come to Odisha on December 18. He has been admitted to corona hospital after found corona infected.

According to the BMC, the new strain is being tried to explore. More precautionary measures are being taken due to the new strain of the virus found in the UK. The family of the infected will also be tested for Covid-19.  Meanwhile, the number of corona infected in India has crossed 1.5 million, out of which more than 1 lakh 47 thousand corona patients have lost their lives.

However, things are now improving very fast. The number of corona patients recovering is constantly increasing with the decline in new cases of corona. According to the Union Health Ministry, more than 97 lakh corona patients have been cured. There are still more than 2 lakh 81 thousand active cases in the country.
