Corona is spreading rapidly in every corner of the country. Every day, due to the grip of this virus, the death toll of the infected is increasing. This virus has now taken the form of an epidemic. 

On Thursday, corona infection was confirmed and two patients died after testing samples of 494 people in Odisha, after which the total number of cases of infection has exceeded 15,000. A senior health official has said that 79 people died in the state so far due to the epidemic. He has told that new cases of infection have come out from 23 districts, after which the total number of cases in the state has reached 15,392. The officer has also told that out of 494 cases, 322 cases came from isolated habitat centres and 172 people have fallen victim to contact with infected people.

Ganjam, the most affected district of the state, received 246 cases, after which the total number of cases in the district increased to 4,867. Apart from this, 64 cases have been confirmed from Khurda, 38 from Cuttack and 21 from Balasore. According to a statement issued by the Health Ministry, two patients have died due to coronavirus in Ganjam district. According to the Ministry of Health, 24 people infected with the coronavirus died due to other diseases. Currently, 4,813 patients of Corona virus are being treated. And 10,476 patients have recovered from the disease. The official said that so far a total of 3,61,920 samples have been tested for corona.
