Khandwa: A 4-year-old girl was gang-raped and later attempted to kill in Madhya Pradesh's Khandwa. After the complaint at the police station, the police started the investigation. The girl was found lying in the bushes. She was alive. She was immediately rushed to the hospital. The girl's condition is stable.
The incident took place in Jaswadi village near Khandwa. There is a tribal family guarding a field here. His relative's daughter had come to celebrate Diwali with her aunt. On Monday morning, when the family woke up, they did not see the girl on the cot. First, they searched in the vicinity, but when not found, they complained to the police station. The family told the police, "A young man named Rajkumar came to their house on Sunday night to ask for a khatiya. He slept in a nearby field. Since morning, the cot was found in the field, but Rajkumar was missing.'' On this basis, Rajkumar was suspected. He works in a Dhaba in the village. Rajkumar was traced based on the interrogation of the Dhaba owner.
The same police arrested Rajkumar and interrogated him strictly, and then he confessed to the crime. He said "He had a drink that night with one of his relatives. Then, the girl was picked up from the house. The two raped her and strangled her with the intention of hiding the crime.'' He further said "They mistook the girl for dead and threw her in the bushes. He did not know on which side the girl was thrown under the influence of alcohol.'' At present, the girl has been referred to Indore after first aid. Khandwa SP Vivek Singh said, "A girl was missing from the police post of Ramnagar area. The police immediately launched a search. The name of a suspect had cropped up, which was seen in that area. He also spoke to the girl's family. On the basis of this, the culprit was arrested and questioned, and then he confessed to the crime. They told "The girl was found alive in the bushes. One criminal is in custody. The other will also be arrested soon. The first priority is to secure the life of our child. We will interrogate the culprit and take further action. The doctor's report is awaited."
