AGRA: In broad daylight, a group of guys abducted a 17-year-old girl from her house.

The incident happened in the Tajganj region, and a video of it has become viral on social media. In the video, some guys can be seen scaling the girl's house wall while onlookers look on. Then, in front of neighbours and townspeople, they use sticks and knives to harm her family before leaving with her.

Police claim that the girl was abducted on October 26 and that an FIR was filed against 10 persons when she was saved the following day.

According to a complaint made by the girl's father, Arun Lala, a local, had been acting inappropriately around his daughter on a frequent basis.

A big crowd was present when the crime was committed. The complainant, a daily wager, claimed that "Arun and his colleagues barged into my house, battered us, and then forcibly took away my daughter." Nobody offered to assist us. Now, my family lives in continual fear. Despite the fact that there was video evidence, when we went to the police station, no FIR was filed, the father said.

Later, thanks to Senior Superintendent of Police Prabhakar Chaudhary, the FIR was filed.

Arun, the primary defendant, nine additional individuals named by the complainant, and five to six unnamed individuals were charged with violating IPC sections 147 (rioting), 452 (house trespass), 354 (assault or criminal force against a woman with the intent to violate her modesty), 323 (voluntarily causing harm), 363 (kidnapping), 504 (intentional insult), and 506 in addition to the main defendant (criminal intimidation).

The girl has been detained at Asha Jyoti Kendra, a sanctuary for women who have been the victims of crime, as is customary, according to DSP Archana Singh. Bhupendra Baliyan, SHO of Tajganj, stated, "We need to record the girl's statement under CrPC section 164 in the court. The guilty males are evading and would be apprehended shortly. We are gathering all available evidence from the neighbourhood and conducting a thorough investigation. There will be appropriate action.
