Jamshedpur: A thief committed suicide by hanging himself in the godown of Shiv Inn Organic Company in the Adityapur police station area of Jharkhand. The incident took place on Saturday night. The employees of the company caught him stealing on the premises and locked him in the warehouse where the thief committed suicide by hanging himself with the help of a wire kept in the warehouse.
After getting the news of the same case, Adityapur police reached the spot and broke the door of the godown and removed the body from the noose. The police sent the body for post-mortem, where after the post-mortem, the body has been kept in the cold storage of the post-mortem house. In this case, a case of encouraging suicide has been registered against the company management.
Giving information about the same case, Station House Officer Rajan said that at 8 pm, the news was received that a thief had hanged himself in the company's warehouse. Police reached the spot and started an investigation. In the span of an investigation, it was found that the door of the godown was locked from the inside. On breaking open the door, the body of a young man was found hanging inside. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the youth had entered the company premises with the intention of stealing where the employees caught him, beat him up and locked him in the godown. He committed suicide inside the warehouse. The deceased could not be identified till the filing of this report.
