Ahmedabad: A diamond merchant in Surat city of Gujarat gave a good message to the society by celebrating the birth of a daughter in a grand and unique way. The industrialist family carried the newborn daughter born at home in a pink colored bus and traveled across the city. If the family is to be believed, for the first time after 40 years, a girl child has been born in their house.

Shreyans Dholakia, one of the sons of the city's well-known diamond merchant and social worker Govind Dholakia, already had two sons, but was eagerly waiting for the birth of a daughter at home. Finally that time has come and Shreyans's wife gave birth to a daughter. The family, pleased with the birth of the daughter, organized an event, under which their white bus was painted pink and then the family took the daughter in the bus and left for the city tour. It's a girl was also written in English on this pink bus roaming the streets of Surat city and a picture of a symbolic daughter was also made.

In this bus roaming the streets of many areas of Surat city, the daughter was welcomed in a grand way by taking a tour. Shreyans Dholakia, the father of the newborn has informed that, the family has set up a private vanity van to take this happiness to the people, to celebrate the birth of the daughter as well as to spread the message of 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' to the people. In the same day, it was painted from white to pink and the luxury bus was plying on the streets of Surat.
