The road was blocked due to heavy figures of people. As a result, vehicles were stuck on both sides of the road. Traffic was diverted from Koteshwar and Kirtinagar.

Corporator Kavita Jogela said the state government had failed to maintain law and order. In Rudraprayag, several student organisations, including Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, NSUI, and Youth Congress, staged a protest at the district headquarters on Saturday. Student leaders Sampanna Negi, Neeraj Kaprwan etc. said that now daughters are not safe even in the mountain. Even today, the students demanded execution. In Tehri's Ghansali, traders along with locals staged a protest at Budhakedar here. There is anger among the businessmen of Tharali over the murder of Ankita Bhandari and his misbehaviour with her. Trade union president Sandeep Rawat and other businessmen sent a memorandum to the CM demanding punishment for the perpetrators of the murder.
