According to entertainment news reports, co-showrunners Michael Foley and Justin W Lo will serve as executive producers for the last season. They succeed Sera Gamble, who co-created "You" with Greg Berlanti and oversaw its first four seasons of production. Netflix has renewed Penn Badgley-starrer series YOU for a 5 TH and final season.

In 2024, the fifth season of the stalker drama will premiere on the streamer's platform, it was announced on social media. In a statement, Gamble said it has been a "honour and ridiculously joy" to work on the show with a group of "writers, producers, directors, cast, and crew."

"I consider myself fortunate to have collaborated with an artist as talented and kind as Penn Badgely. I am honoured to pass the torch because I am proud of everything we have done together. As the "You" crew brings Joe Goldberg's journey to a delightfully twisted climax, I can't wait to see and support them "She said.

Based on the books of Caroline Kepnes, the psychological suspense series "You" follows serial killer and bookshop manager Joe Goldberg as he falls in love and experiences severe infatuation.

The fourth season of the programme just launched on Netflix. The fourth chapter was divided into two halves by the streaming service, with the first half of its 10-episode season debuting on February 9 and the second returning one month later.
