Jodhpur: Before Eid 2022 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, people of two communities came face to face late on Monday night and there was a clash between them. It is being told that a dispute started between two groups at Jodhpur's Jalauri Gate square over the issue of hoisting the Islamic flag on the statue of the freedom fighter, and after that the dispute escalated to stone pelting. During this, many people were injured in stone pelting. As soon as the incident was reported, additional police force from the control room reached the spot and immediately dispersed the crowd. With this, the intersection where there was a dispute was closed. It is being told that during this time stone pelting on police was also done by a community on the police engaged in driving the crowd.  Now at this time there is a tense atmosphere in the entire city and the police has appealed to the people to celebrate the festival with communal harmony. Not only this, in view of the tension in this area, the internet has also been shut down.

In fact, a three-day Parashuram Jayanti festival is going on in Jodhpur these days and in the same episode, the saffron flag was hoisted at the intersection of the late Balmukand's Bissa at the Jalauri Gate intersection in Jodhpur, about which the administration requested the Brahmin community on Monday.  Saffron flags were taken down in the afternoon, but by the end of the night, people from the minority community had climbed the statue of the freedom fighter and covered his face with tape.  Regarding this matter, the relatives of the late freedom fighter Balmukund Bissa and others asked the people of the minority community to take down the Islamic flag, when the people of the minority community attacked the people of Hindu organizations and beat them badly. After all this, the people of Hindu organizations reached the nearby police post to escape, however the Muslim mob ransacked the police post itself and started beating the people of Hindu organizations. On the other hand, the police remained present on the spot during all this incident, but the crowd was so much that the police appeared helpless in front of them.

Later, additional police force from the control room and both the DCPs reached the spot. However, by then the news had spread like fire in the entire city that a Hindu-Muslim riot had broken out at the Jalauri Gate intersection and people from both sides started reaching Jalauri Gate. During this, without the orders of any higher officer, Uday Mandir police station officer Amit Sihag started lathi-charge and many journalists were also targeted and beaten up. It is being told that after the lathi charge, people of the Muslim community moved towards the Jalori Gate intersection in hundreds and they started pelting stones at the police. At the same time, whoever found him on the way started beating him up. During this, the police resorted to lathi-charge and fired tear gas shells to control the crowd, after which the situation calmed down a bit. However, after all this, the Qazi Sahab of the Muslim community tried to solve the matter by persuading the people.
