Indore: Bharatiya Janata Party national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya has once again lashed out at the officials. He opposed the credit given to the officers for Indore becoming number one in cleanliness for the sixth consecutive time. That too in a special way. He even said that I am saying a bitter thing. Someone may feel bad, but it is necessary to say this. No one else but I have the strength to speak like that.

The Brilliant Convention Centre in Indore had a programme to celebrate the city's leading chart in cleanliness for the sixth consecutive year across the country. Due to this, stories were being read in praise of the officers. Kailash Vijayvargiya did not like this. He said that if the officers had the strength, then the then Municipal Commissioner of Indore had become Ujjain District Magistrate after here. The present Collector of Ujjain has also been the Municipal Commissioner of Indore. He was even given an award by Amitabh Bachchan. Both the officers could not make Ujjain number one in cleanliness because Indore is at the forefront of the country in cleanliness because of the public, not because of the officials. Indore is number one in cleanliness, so the credit goes to the sanitation friends and the people of the city, not the officers. The media should also not confuse the officers too much. This is not the first time Vijayvargiya has targeted city officials. Even before this, he has been attacking the government on the pretext of officers.

When the senior officers did not reach the residency Kothi due to the protest, Kailash Vijayvargiya said that the officers are servants of the public. Have they become so high that they did not even meet public representatives? Our office bearers are in the city, otherwise, would have set fire to Indore. Earlier, Kailash Vijayvargiya had once said in the Indore Municipal Corporation event that my hands are tied in the case of Indore. My condition is like that of Sholay's Thakur. His reference was to the unbridled bureaucracy. Even during the lockdown, officials have been the target of Kailash Vijayvargiya. He compared the orders of the officers to the Tughlaqi decree. Similarly, at a function of the Indore Development Authority, he had said that there is no shortage of people who come in the middle of every issue in Indore. In this too, the officers were on target.
