Patna: A grocery shopkeeper was shot dead by three armed criminals in Bihar's Arrah. The injured shopkeeper has been admitted to a private clinic for treatment. The three convicts, who were fleeing from the spot after committing the incident, were chased away and caught by the locals. Then, they have been handed over to the police.
The incident took place in Semaria Bazar of the Barhara police station area. The grocery shopkeeper with bullet injuries is Krishna Keshri, a resident of Semaria village. He was sitting at his grocery shop in Semaria market on Friday. Meanwhile, three armed criminals on a motorcycle came and opened fire at him. Family members said that Krishna had a dispute with them over road rage in the market ten days ago. But he didn't know anyone. Today suddenly 3 criminals came to the shop with weapons. They then fired at Krishna. Krishna's younger brother Suman Keshri was also present in the shop at the time of the incident.
The same criminals also injured him by hitting the butt of the weapon. SP Himanshu Kumar, who reached the spot after getting information about the incident, said, "Grocery shopkeeper Krishna Keshri had a fight with some persons 10 days ago over road rage. After this, the same armed people shot him today.'' He further said "The three criminals who carried out the incident with the cooperation of the people of the village have been arrested.'' The weapons and motorcycles used in the incident have been recovered from the criminals. The police are currently investigating the whole matter.
