The Soubin Shahir – Suraj Venjaramoodu film ‘Android Kunjappan Version 5.25’ has been quite popular among film buffs ever since its release, for the kind of novel science fiction – comedy story it offered in the backdrop of a Kerala village and Russia. Now, the team of the movie has announced its second part. The movie, humorously titled ‘Alien Aliyan,’ is directed by ‘Android Kunjappan’ director Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval. The movie is also written by Ratheesh himself.

The film’s first poster was also released alongside the announcement, in which a metallic alien-like character can be seen sitting atop a structure, which probably is a small hill. ‘Adroid Kunjappan’ will also be getting a Tamil and Telugu remake. Meanwhile, director Ratheesh has already shot a film with Nivin Pauly and Grace Antony in the lead, with the title ‘Kanakam Kamini Kalaham.’ He had also announced another film that has Kunchacko Boban in the lead, which also has Vinay Forrt and Grace in major roles. It is touted to be a comic family entertainer.

‘Android Kunjappan’ had won many accolades at the Kerala State Film Awards, with Suraj Venjaramoodu winning the award for the Best Actor, Ratheesh emerging the Best Debut Director and Jothish Shankar winning the Best Art Director Award. The film’s sound designer Jayadevan Chakkadath had also won the Best Sound Designer award at the Indian Record Arts and Academy Award.
