New Delhi: A traffic police constable and his friend lost their lives in a collision with an unidentified truck near CBI Cut in Madhuban Bapudham police station area of ​​Ghaziabad, adjacent to the national capital Delhi. After the accident, the accused driver fled from the spot along with the truck. After getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot and took the bodies of both of them and sent them for postmortem.

At the same time, on the complaint of the relatives of the constable, Madhuban Bapudham Police has registered a case and started the search for the accused driver. According to the police, Lalit Kumar (32), a resident of Kairana in Shamli, had joined the Uttar Pradesh Police in 2015 as a constable. Presently he was in Ghaziabad Traffic Police and he was posted in Police Lines. He lived in the barracks of the police line.

According to SP Traffic Ramanand Kushwaha, Lalit's duty was on the choppy cut on Thursday. After completing the duty in the night, Lalit was coming back to the police line by bike with his friend Nitesh, who had come from Bulandshahr. On reaching near CBI Cut on Hapur Road at around quarter to 10 pm, an unknown truck rammed the motorcycle from behind. Constable Lalit and his friend Nitesh were badly injured after coming under the wheels of the truck and died during treatment.
