Ottawa: The demonstration of truck drivers, which started after the corona vaccination campaign was made mandatory in Canada, has scared the administration there so much that the country's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has imposed a nationwide emergency from Monday (February 14, 2022) evening. Now after the imposition of emergency, the Canadian government has the right to not only impose fines against anyone who blocks the way of a truck, but can also put them in jail.
Trudeau, who supported India during the farmers' movement and tried to teach democracy to India, described the ongoing protests in his country as 'peaceful', showing the protesters as terrorists. Trudeau says that this type of siege, torturing people, breaking the law, is not a peaceful demonstration. Due to this, the economy of the country is being harmed, as well as people are not able to buy the goods they need, their security is also in danger.
Trudeau told that he has imposed the emergency after talking to the central and state governments. This will give additional powers to the police and they will be able to take action against illegal activities such as demonstrations and road blockers. Similarly, financial institutions will have the right to stop providing financial support to protesters and freeze them without a court order.
