The beautification work of Baba Mahakal's ride route will start this month itself. Smart City has issued tenders worth Rs 24 crore for the first phase of beautification and upgrading of the ride route. Probably next week, the Bhumi Pujan of the construction work will be done. The great thing is that the Mahakal ride is being beautified with the money received from selling the shops of Shri Mahakal Lok.

Mayor Mukesh Tatwal held a meeting with officers and councillors regarding the work of city development. Here, Smart City CEO Ashish Pathak said that a tender has been issued regarding the beautification of the Mahakal ride. In the first phase, construction works worth Rs 24 crore for Ramghat and Mahakal Temple have been included. Development of intersections, underground sewerage, lighting, and other beautification works will be done on the ride route. In the second phase, the entire ride route will be beautified with financial help from the Ujjain Development Authority.
