Motihari: Once again, the havoc of liquor has been seen in Bihar. In Motihari district, five people have died after consuming spurious liquor. Apart from this, the condition of about six people remains critical. All of them are undergoing treatment in the hospital. The patients themselves have told the doctors that they had consumed alcohol; after that, their health deteriorated.

In Lakshmipur, Motihari district, the havoc of liquor has been seen in the village. It is feared that five people have died, and the health of about half a dozen others has deteriorated due to drinking spurious liquor. After that, there was panic in the area. Rameshwar Ram alias Jata, Dhruv Paswan, Ashok Paswan, and Chhotu Paswan are among those who died due to drinking alcohol. One of them died in the clinic, another died on the way to SKMCH, and the third died at RC Medical College.

Earlier in December 2022, more than 100 people had died in many districts, including Chhapra in Bihar. After that, while speaking in the assembly, CM Nitish Kumar gave a strict warning that prohibition is in force in the state and if you drink spurious liquor, you will die. He said that no one would be given compensation for deaths due to alcohol. We are following the path shown by the Father of the Nation, Bapu. In other states, people are dying from drinking spurious liquor. The BJP had supported prohibition. When the BJP surrounded Nitish on the issue of spurious liquor, there was a lot of uproar in the assembly. After that, Nitish Kumar got angry and appeared to be furious at the BJP. Attacking the BJP, Nitish Kumar said that all of you were earlier in favour of prohibition. What has happened now?
