The month of July is famously known for the monsoon rain. But, according to people whose past experiences says, it has not been as rainy as it should be in some states of North India. While due to heavy rains in the rest of Bihar and Maharashtra, flooding devastated the places to a great extent. Also, millions of people have been affected by the floods in Assam. Further notice has been released on heavy rainy alerts in many states. In Delhi-NCR and the surrounding areas, the weather there has been adverse for the past several days. News of drizzling rains has been reported in some areas.

The Meteorological Department has issued a separate warning for some districts. The Meteorological Department (IMD) of the country said that at different places in Saurashtra-Kutch, Arunachal Pradesh-Assam-Meghalaya and Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim, heavy rain alert has been issued including isolated places in Gujarat region, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa, Telangana, coastal Karnataka, and Kerala-Mahe. The warning has also been issued in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi.

In some parts of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Assam-Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, East Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Mizoram-Tripura, Kerala-Mahe, Tamil Nadu-Puducherry, Coastal Andhra Pradesh-Yanam, and Rayalaseema Thunderstorm warnings have also been issued.
