New Delhi: Delhi-NCR weather has become even more pleasant on Wednesday afternoon. Delhi NCR, which is reeling under heat, got relief from the rain and has also seen a drop in temperature. For the past few days, people have had to face a lot of problems due to the heat in the area. However, Wednesday's rain is seen to bring relief to the common people as well as the farmers. The farmers, who have been continuously using boring and pumping sets for transplanting paddy, have heaved a sigh of relief from this rain.
The Meteorological Department has also issued a 'Yellow Alert' predicting light to a moderate year in Delhi on Wednesday. The department says that the city is generally going to be cloudy for the next 3 days and there are forecasts of light rain or thundershowers. The minimum temperature in the national capital was recorded at 28.2 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal, on Wednesday morning. The maximum temperature is likely to remain around 33 degrees Celsius.
The national capital has also recorded 165.1 mm of rainfall so far in July after June was relatively dry, while July normally receives 126.9 mm of rainfall. IMD issues four colour alerts for weather warnings. These alerts are 'Green Alert' (no action required), 'Yellow Alert' (keep an eye on the situation), 'Orange Alert' (be prepared to deal with the situation) and 'Red Alert' (take steps to deal with the situation) respectively.
