Meerut: Police have raided the meat factory of former minister Haji Yaqoob Qureshi at Hapur Road in Meerut, UP. The police had received a tip-off that the work of packaging and processing meat was going on illegally at the meat plant of former minister Haji Yaqoob Qureshi. In the wake of the raid, the police have arrested 10 employees of the meat plant. Haji Yaqoob's son Imran Yaqoob is said to be the director of this factory. In this factory, the work of meat packaging and processing without a license was going on.  

At the time of the same raid, the police seized 2 lakh 40 thousand kg of process meat. Along with this, 6 thousand 700 kg has been seized without being processed. This meat was being illegally packaged and processed. As soon as the news of the raid on the factory of the former Minister was received, senior officers and investigation teams have reached the spot. Former Minister Haji Yaqoob owns a factory in the name of Al Faiem Meitex Pvt Ltd at Alipur on Hapur Road. It's closed at the moment.
