New Delhi: The political process for the presidential election has begun. On one hand, the process of filing nomination papers for the presidential election is starting from today i.e. on Wednesday, on the other hand, both the ruling party and the opposition have started the exercise of setting up their own political maths. In this sequence, a joint meeting of the opposition has been called under the leadership of Mamta Banerjee. There is an attempt to unite the opposition through this meeting, but according to media reports, some parties have distanced themselves from this meeting. In the meeting convened by Mamata Banerjee, the BJP-led NDA seems to be directly benefiting from the sidelines of political parties.

A meeting of leaders of opposition parties has been called in the Constitution Club of Delhi to field a common opposition candidate against NDA, so that NDA can be defeated in this election. However, another meaning of this meeting of Mamta Banerjee is also being extracted. Through this meeting, Mamta is engaged in efforts to achieve 2024 as well. But, in the midst of all this, Mamta's unity meeting has suffered a setback. Some political parties have avoided the meeting called by him.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and AAP will not attend the meeting of opposition parties called by West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on the issue of the upcoming presidential election. According to media reports, AAP will clarify its stand and strategy on this issue only after the presidential candidate is declared. That is, it is clear that now two parties have made a distance.
