Muzaffarpur: In Bihar's Muzaffarpur, people caught and set auto on fire on the allegation of carrying beef. The agitated persons also beat up the driver a lot. The incident led to a 10-km-long jam on the Bhagwanpur road. According to the news, the Bajrang Dal workers received a complaint about carrying beef. After which the Bajrang Dal worker chased the auto in huge numbers. The workers followed the auto for 5 km.  

Two motorcyclists were also injured in the process of seizing the vehicle. The driver tried to escape by jumping from the auto but the agitated persons caught hold of him and beat him up. People brought the criminal to Bhagwanpur Chowk. There the auto was set on fire. The people allege that 3 persons including the smuggler were aboard the auto but they escaped.

Inspector Mani Bhushan Kumar of Sadar police station said that the police have arrested the auto driver. It is being said that the driver was going to Madwan with beef from Juran Chhapra. Police have recovered the banned meat. The arrested criminal has also given the name of the banned meat smuggler. Sadar police station officer said that the case is being investigated. A 10-km long jam was caused by the fire in the autos of the individuals. After the explanation of the police, the people calmed down and the jam could be opened.
