New Delhi: There is a war in the country over the number of deaths due to Corona. After the report of the World Health Organization (WHO), the opposition parties are besieging the central government. The government is also not denying the side that pharma companies can be the root of this whole controversy. The government says that the pharma companies making vaccines in the Corona epidemic, to whom India did not give entry to its market, have filled the ears of WHO.
Let us tell you that the whole controversy regarding the deaths from Corona is about statistics. The Government of India said that there have been 4.8 lakh deaths in the country from January 2020 to December 2021 due to Corona. But a WHO report says that there have been 4.7 million (about 40 lakh) deaths due to corona in India. This figure is 10 times the government's figure, so there has been a controversy over it. Government sources have described this report of WHO as wrongly prepared. It has also been told that there was a plan to release this report earlier in November before the assembly elections of 5 states.
Let us inform that elections were held in Punjab, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Manipur and Uttarakhand in March and around November the election atmosphere had set. The source says that by doing this an attempt was made to damage the image of the current government. The same now that the report has come on May 5, the Government of India has raised questions on the method chosen by the WHO for the survey. But in the meantime, other opposition leaders including Rahul Gandhi have surrounded the center. According to the source, WHO made several amendments in the death toll from November 2021 to May 2022, while objections were being raised from India. Meanwhile, 9 letters were sent to WHO by the Ministry of Health. Despite this, the report was released. At present, the government is in attacking mode against the WHO report. Recently, in Gujarat, the Health Minister had attended a contemplation camp. Health ministers of almost all the states were present in this. A resolution against the WHO report has been brought in the meeting. In bringing this proposal, those states also supported in which there is no BJP government. Now it is planned to send this proposal to WHO.
